Last night, The J. Dilla Foundation hosted its first annual tribute concerts to the late J. Dilla at Webster Hall. Featuring hip-hop’s highly respected and endearing pioneers like Jarobi from A Tribe Called Quest, Talib Kweli, Pharaoh Monch, 88 Keys to young and promising artists like YC the Cynic and eclectic soul-hop band, Phone Ppl.
Last night, the Los Angeles-based group flew out from Austin’s SXSW Festival to come and perform an amazing set at Manhattan’s infamous SOBs music venue located in SoHo.
